Kids might also enjoy the circus trapeze and juggling classes at Club Med World (#45). The restaurant terraces herre provide a rare opportunity to eat outside without traffic fumes. Leave the concourse and cross rue François Truffaut into the Parc de Bercy (2), a modern recreation area popular with families. Take the footbridge into the western half of the park. The nine squares of Jardin Itzak Rabin include a vegetable garden, a maze, and a vineyard. Spot the old rail tracks that used to carry wine to the warehouses. The Grande Prairie – a big lawn – is perfect for ball games and also has a playground and skateboard ramps. The grass – covered pyramid nearby is the Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy (3, 8 boulevard de Bercy), a sports stadium and concert venue. When the arena is free, you can go ice skating here. Wrap up at the Cinemathèque Française (4, 51 rue de Bercy), a fun movie museum and film archive that screens children’s movies (some in English) on Wednesday and Saturday and family films on Sunday.
